Home
Again
As I
awaken this morning
I hear
my mother’s voice
I
smell breakfast cooking
And
feel a warm sea breeze
My
grandmother comes into the bedroom
Telling
me to get out of bed
It is
time for breakfast
And
then I can go out and play
I turn
to the window and see my old friend
Mr. Prince
working in the yard
In the
distance I see my rope swing
It is
spring and I am ten years old again
A
light fills the room
A
voice from within the light tells me,
“This
is the place and time
You
were the happiest
This
is where you will spend forevermore
It is
your reward”
My
heart fills with joy as I get out of bed
For a
day of playing in the sun
With
my family and friends
That
came here before me
Thank
you, Lord
For bringing
me home again
To
live forevermore
