Does it still hurt on
the other side?
When I lie down for the last time
Will the pain go away?
When I awake on the other side
Will I still remember the love I lost?
When I see my long lost friends
Will they know how much I loved her?
Or will I not remember
Her smile
Her eyes
The taste of her lips
The feelings we shared when we made love
Feeling my life is complete
When she slept beside me
Does the love in my heart die with me?
Or will it still be there for her to see?
And will she see it?
When she reaches the other side
Will she know that she was loved all of her life?
Will she find what she has been looking for
On the other side?
Will she find the love
she has missed?
In her life?
Will she see me and run
to me?
Or will she turn away
One more time?
Will the love of the Lord
Fill all the places that
she left empty
And I will not need her
in my heart anymore?
Will I live in peace
And with the ones who
did love me?
Who can tell me?
Will it end now or will
it follow me into death?
Only the Lord knows and
He will not tell
