I have looked for you all of my life
I knew you were there
But did not know where
My heart could feel you
My lips could tease you
My dreams you were always in
Every tear that I cried was for you
Every breath I took kept me looking for you
In every shadow I tried to see you there
Just knowing that you were out there
Somewhere waiting for me too
Made my life worth living
Knowing someday my lips would meet yours
That I would hold you in my arms
And make love to you forever more
Now my days are growing short
And my time is at hand
Just knowing you were out there
Filled my life with love
Just knowing that we may have had a love
Like no other’s kept me going on
