Thank You

 

 

For coming back into my life

 You took thirty years from my life, and made me twenty again

 I could do the things I loved again

 

I could create with my mind then capture it with my camera

Seeing the things I missed for so long

 

I started to walk and then to run, feeling the blood in my brain

 Helping me to think and see clearly

The way I have not in years

                                                                                                                    

I could see the colors again, the beauty in a bug on a flower

Or the rust on a nail, broken glass in a window of an old house

 

The softest of light of a setting sun, the hard light of the noon day’s sun

 

The blue, green and brown of the ladies’ eyes

The texture of their hair, the feel of their skin

 

So now through all the hurt and pain

I still want you to know that

I am thankful for what you did for me

I am just sorry it is over so soon

 

I will always love Blue Eyes
