The Song
I would listen to the oldies on the radio
Wanting to hear that song
The one that reminded me of the love we had.
Knowing that every time you hear it,
It reminded you of me
Now after a life time waiting,
I found out today that
You did not remember the song at all
With all the other men you have had
How could I have thought that you would
Remember the song or me
So now I am left alone in my memories of you
I will stay awhile and then move on.
